Jessi and Matt are the kind of couple every wedding planner dreams of working with—positivity radiates from them, and their take on life is downright contagious. Having met them through Jessi’s sister Molli, whose wedding we celebrated last year, it felt like a reunion with old friends.
The wedding day dawned with Traverse City at its most enchanting—impeccable weather, endless sunshine, and vibes so good they were practically tangible. From the get-go, you could feel the excitement and joy in the air, setting the stage for a day filled with love and laughter.
The ceremony unfolded at their family lake house, adding a sentimental touch to the vows. The reception, held at The Delamar in downtown Traverse City, not only provided a stunning backdrop but also offered the convenience of overnight accommodations for their beloved guests.
The color palette, featuring blues and whites, echoed the tranquil beauty of the beach. The choice was not just visually appealing; it created an atmosphere of serenity and romance that perfectly aligned with the couple’s vision. The bridal party looked absolutely fabulous, with the girls donning light blue dresses that complemented the beachy vibe flawlessly. The groomsmen rocked timeless tuxedos, adding a touch of sophistication to the affair.
Now, let’s talk about the magic that unfolded thanks to the incredible Stellaluna Event Design team. Working seamlessly with the design team, Jessi and Matt’s reception at The Delamar transformed into a coastal haven. Picture this: an ocean of blues and whites, from the elegant table settings to the carefully chosen decor elements. The team’s keen eye for detail and commitment to bringing the couple’s vision to life was truly remarkable. The decor was a visual treat, with pops of blue and white vases accenting the tables. Our design team also handcrafted unique escort cards—pieces of driftwood, each bearing the names of their cherished guests. This thoughtful touch added a touch of nature to the place settings, making each guest feel truly special.
