Felt Mansion Wedding | Dana & Quentin
If you have been had the pleasure of witnessing a Felt Mansion wedding, it is always a magical one. From the gorgeous property to the historical touches, this space creates memorable events and was the perfect place for Dana & Quentin’s wedding day.
When Dana first reached out to me in January of 2018 she needed some help finding a wedding venue for their July 2018 wedding and also wanted to bring our team on to coordinate and provide florals. Dana & Quentin reside in Nevada and decided to have a Holland, Michigan wedding because that is where Dana spent most of her summers vacationing as a kid.
They knew they wanted a wedding near Lake Michigan so after lots of searching we decided that a Felt Mansion wedding was the perfect place. Dana is a big fan of sunsets so we decided to make her color palette sunset colors complete with dusty pink, peach, buttercup yellow, soft orange and ivory.
What I loved most about working with Dana and Quentin on their gorgeous Felt Mansion wedding was how fun they are. They always stayed positive, upbeat and had a smile on their face throughout the whole planning process. They didn’t take the wedding planning process “too seriously” and remembered to have fun. As a planner that makes me so happy to know they understood what the day was about.
We ended up having perfect weather for their outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, which we were extra grateful for since their guests traveled from all over the United States to be there. The day was so beautiful from start to finish with lots of love and joy.

I loved that Dana and Quentin switched things up for the ceremony. Normally during a Felt Mansion wedding most couples choose to use the white chapel onsite as their backdrop, but Dana and Quentin decided to use the large oak tree next to the chapel as their ceremony backdrop. It created a really unique experience and I loved how they did it differently then the rest.
Lets pause for a minute and talk about this cake! This was one of my favorite parts from the whole wedding day. Cakabakery created this charming two tiered white cake and then added some of our blooms to it and I could not be more in love. It was cute, charming and tasted amazing!
And staying true to Dana’s love of sunsets, the couple snuck out for a few sunset photos. Originally Dana wanted to go to the beach for sunset photos, but after reviewing the timeline, they decided they wanted to spend more time with their guests than leave for a large chunk of time to get photos. And I think they made the best decision, because these photos are beyond beautiful!
