An Evening at The Perry Hotel | Hailie & Josh
Hailie and Josh’s up north wedding at The Perry Hotel was everything a fall celebration should be: colorful, heartfelt and full of joy. On the first weekend of October, the warm weather allowed guests to enjoy the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour in beautiful Petoskey.
Hailie got glammed up by Vogue Salon & Spa, where the team gave her a stunning hair down look paired with gorgeous makeup. Dan Stewart Photography then captured the dreamiest photos of the couple throughout the evening, with every single photo more beautiful than the last. The whole day came together so beautifully, with a color palette that set the perfect tone. Colors of blush pinks and purples alongside various greenery complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses of deep purple and shaped the design of florals from Posh Petals.
After the ceremony, all the guests went to the front porch of The Perry Hotel to get a picture of everyone together. It was a magical moment to have a memory of the venue and all the guests that attended Hailie and Josh’s celebration. Moving into the reception space, there were memorable little details that left guests smiling from ear to ear. Hailie and Josh were dog owners, and their dog passed away a few months before their wedding. They had pictures of their pup at every table that identified the table numbers, and a small frame set between their seats at the reception to honor. Such a sweet way to remember such an important piece of their lives. The menus also doubled as the guest table cards and were beautifully designed and brought all the colors together.
The Bluewater Kings Band provided entertainment for the night, and Josh, who is in a band and is very musically talented, ended up singing a song with the band during the reception. Guests loved the surprise performance and everyone who wasn’t already on the dance floor, made their way there fast.
We worked through the timeline a few times to make sure Hailie and Josh could sneak away for pictures of the sunset out by Lake Michigan. Moving a few things around – speeches before dinner and dances after dinner – we were able to execute the timing perfectly. Post-dinner, espresso martinis and soft pretzels wowed for the late night snack and Hailie and Josh had also made custom socks that said, “We danced our socks off at Haile and Josh’s wedding.” Such a unique ending to a memorable celebration.
