Frankfort, IL Wedding | Taylor & Justin
Taylor and Justin got married on an on and off rainy day in September. Their wedding was originally supposed to be at Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, MI, but as time went on and the couple saw that the executive order wasn’t being lifted they decided to switch plans and host the wedding in Frankfort, IL at the groom’s aunt and uncle’s home. Taylor and Justin planned their backyard tented wedding in a month and a half. How impressive is that?!⠀
The weather definitely wasn’t our friend most of the day since all day we had a threat of rain and thunderstorms. The rain did hold off long enough for us to set-up ceremony chairs outside and start the ceremony. A little sprinkle came through in the middle of the ceremony but it didn’t hold anyone back from enjoying watching Taylor and Justin say I do. We were able to get a few really fun photos done with the girls under the clear umbrellas as well as Taylor and Justin, so there was a benefit out of the rain! This Frankfort, IL wedding turned out to be beautiful regardless of the weather!
The three words we would use to best describe this wedding day: energetic, meaningful and fun!
The girls wore a dusty blue shade for their bridesmaids dresses and the bride wore a beautiful lace dress. As for the groom and his groomsman they stuck with their color scheme and wore grey suits that paired so well with all of the dresses. We absolutely love the color palette that they decided for their Frankfort, IL wedding.
For their color palette they chose shades of blue, white, silver and some rustic browns. We absolutely loved how well the bouquets made the brides dress really stand out, she was truly beautiful!
Something last minute that we had to really be creative with during this Frankfort, IL wedding was that we had to select their ceremony music. They were so busy replanning the wedding and completely forgot to pick ceremony songs. We learned this an hour before the ceremony so we worked it out with the band and plugged into the band’s PA system and picked/played songs for the ceremony.
For dessert they order Bundtinis (mini bundt cakes) from Nothing Bundt Cakes and they were a major hit! The bride said she ordered way more than the guest count and at the end of the night there weren’t many left. guests love them!
