Goals for November 2017

Can you believe it is already November? It amazes me the older I get, how quickly life goes by, and because of that I am trying to take more time to enjoy the little moments. So from the comfort of my cozy couch with a fire crackling on this chilly autumn day I reminisce on the last month. This month I had the pleasure of watching my best friend, Kara, and my sister, Chelsea, both be married to their best friend. This month on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan, Eric asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. To say the least, it was an amazing month!

So without further ado – here is how I did on my October 2017 goals:

  • Go camping with friends. Check! We went camping at Ludington State Park with our friend’s Liberty and Remy and that is where Eric proposed to me on the beach. Full story of the engagement coming to the blog soon!)
  • Go apple picking. Check! During our weekend of nothing to do, Eric and I went to VerHage Farms. Fun fact: My sister and her husband got engaged at VerHage!
  • Go out on the boat one last time before the season ends. No, unfortunately this didn’t happen.
  • Bake a pumpkin pie. Yes, we enjoyed this during our Halloween pizza night!
  • Celebrate Halloween with friends and family. Check! Eric and I decided to make homemade pizza, build a fire in the fireplace and watching halloween movies.
  • Get pumpkin ice cream at Plainwell Ice Cream. Check! I was lucky enough to go with one of my past clients and new friends, Amy.
  • Find a workout routine that works for me. No, still working on this.
  • Have one last bonfire before the season ends. Check! We had lots of fires while we were camping and during my sister’s wedding weekend.
  • Start having weekly dates with Eric. Check! This is always a goal of mine.
  • Finally finish Make It Happen. No, I wasn’t joking when I told you I’m a slow reader.

A pretty good month if you ask me. Of course, some things were not accomplished but like I’ve said before they are not real goals if they don’t challenge you. Here are my goals for November 2017!

  • Clean out our house and throw away, sell or donate everything that isn’t our favorites (I’m always a big fan of doing this but have been inspired by Emily Ley‘s new book A Simplified Life.)
  • Start wedding planning with Eric! (we have taking some time to enjoy being engaged before diving into planning)
  • Have a weekly fire in our fire place.
  • FINALLY finish Make It Happen!
  • Start reading Girl Boss.
  • Plan and make actionable steps towards the next big thing in Stellaluna Events. I can’t tell you what that is yet but you will know soon enough!
  • Try a new vegetarian recipe to make at home.
  • Find a workout routine that works for me.
  • Celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends.
  • Volunteer my time or do a give back project.

There you have it! One new month and ten new goals that I cannot wait to dive into. Comment below and share what your goals are for this month!
