Grand Rapids Downtown Market | McKenzie and Sam
The Grand Rapids Downtown Market is home to a breathtaking greenhouse which creates an absolutely stunning place for any couple to tie the knot. But that isn’t the only thing that the Downtown Market has going for it. The reception space is modern and full of floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing in so much amazing natural light and incredible skyline views of the city.
McKenzie and Sam got married on a beautiful spring day in May. The bridesmaids all wore black dresses and the groomsman all wore black tux’s—creating such an elegant feel. Sam sported a handsome white tux and McKenzie walked down the aisle in a stunning off the shoulder dress. At the ceremony, the simple touch of a beautiful garden arch with white florals elevated the lush greenhouse. When it was time to say I do, the love between McKenzie and Sam was palpable and it was an amazing moment to be a part of.
The reception space is conveniently right across the hall so no time was wasted as everyone was ready to celebrate the newlyweds! The black and white theme flowed into the reception with black plates, black menus, white linens and white florals. In addition to the decor, McKenzie and Sam added some fun touches with the popcorn wedding favors and incorporating their dog in some details. Our favorite being a molding of their dog peeking out on their wedding cake. So cute!
The night ended with a fabulous dress change and dancing all night long. It was an absolute pleasure helping the bride and groom execute their elegant, classy and fun day!
