Gull Lake Country Club Wedding | Zach + Maggie

I often say I get to work with the best clients but words cannot describe how truly kind and thoughtful Zach and Maggie are. When I first received the inquiry from Maggie’s sweet mama to assist them in planning this Gull Lake Country Club wedding, I regret to say I did not know a lot about this amazing couple or what an impact they have made on the city of Kalamazoo.

Zach and Maggie met at Western Michigan University – Maggie was on the cheer team and Zach was the quarterback of the football team – if this isn’t a fairytale love story then I don’t know what is! Beyond their deep involvement with WMU they are both actively involved in the city of Kalamazoo and their church as they mentor youth, volunteer their time to the community and constantly share the love of the Lord. These two are incredibly hard working and constantly have a jam-packed schedule but handle it with such ease and grace.

With Maggie’s southern roots she was drawn to this charming white church in Richland, Michigan for their ceremony. Inspired by both of their love for being on the lake they chose a lakeside reception nearby. The day was captured by my talented friend, Ashley, and her husband, Jonathan, of Ashley Slater Photography.
