Winter Wedding at Black River Barn | Natalie & Jake
Natalie and Jake’s wedding was one of those weekends that felt fun, easy and full of love from start to finish. Located in South Haven, Black River Barn proved perfect for the couple’s true winter celebration. Natalie had spent the entire planning process hoping for a magical, snowy winter wedding, and she truly got it. A winter storm a few days before left the ground beautifully snow-covered, and light flurries drifted down throughout the day, creating the most picturesque winter backdrop.
Hairs 2 the Bride provided glam for the day, showering Natalie and her bridesmaids with elegant hair and makeup, while Encompass Weddings captured both photo and video throughout the day. Bridesmaids wore dresses of navy blue and the groomsmen sported tuxes of sleek black, each style complimenting Jake’s navy blue suit and Natalie’s classic A-line dress with a full skirt.
Black River Barn’s indoor space, decorated with dazzling chandeliers and warm tones, held room for the cozy ceremony. Bridal bouquets from Posh Petals accompanied the bridal party down the aisle, filled with florals of blue, white and an assortment of greenery. Entertainment was provided by Ace Wedding DJs and The Booth by Lovestream, and Love Lettering and Event Theory provided decor for the setup.
A meaningful moment was when Natalie chose to dedicate her bridal bouquet to her mom instead of doing a traditional bouquet toss. It was such a heartfelt gesture, and her mom was incredibly honored by it. She loved it so much that she insisted on displaying the bouquet on the fireplace mantel for the rest of the night – a sweet reminder of how special that moment was for both of them.
Natalie and Jake are the most high-energy, completely-in-love couple and such a perfect pair. Their connection is so natural and fun that you feel it the second they’re together. They’re always joking, laughing and feeding off each other’s energy, and it’s obvious how well they fit. That playful, easy banter is so them, and their wedding day reflected it perfectly, full of laughter, joy and so much love.
