Boyne Mountain Resort Wedding | Jade & Sam
I am so excited to share Jade & Sam’s Boyne Mountain Resort Wedding in Boyne Falls, Michigan with you today! I had the pleasure of working with Jade & Sam for over a year and a half on their wedding day and I enjoyed every moment of the process with them. They are both sweet, kind and thoughtful people and made the planning so fun and easy going.
Jade & Sam decided to host a Boyne Mountain Resort wedding because it was close to Sam’s hometown of Charlevoix and they both share a deep love of Northern Michigan. They wanted an outdoor tented wedding near the water so The Beach House on Deer Lake was the perfect location on the resort property. The morning of the wedding the ladies got ready in the villas on the lake, while the guys did some golfing on the resort.
We threw up a massive tent on the lawn in front of the water and per Jade’s request, made it look like a garden. Family friends brought in huge tree branches that we were attached to the tent poles and there were lots of greens and fresh blooms all throughout the tent. Though the temperature was a bit higher this day, the breeze off the lake kept everyone cool.
Speaking of breezes, one lesson I learned from this wedding was have a plan A, B & C for outdoor weddings that may be windy. We had a bit of trouble in the beginning of the day getting the linens near the water to stay down and had the photo booth fall over a couple times. We finally got everything to stay, but it was a good lesson learned.

For the ceremony Jade decided to keep things simple and let the charm of the venue speak for itself. We lined the aisle with potted ferns and candles, which added a nice touch of contrast and texture.
One thing I was really nervous about was all the beach goers being loud or interrupting the ceremony, but I’m happy to report that as soon as the ceremony started everyone was respectful and cheered as they were announced Mr. & Mrs.
As I already mentioned above, I was in love with this garden inspired tent. Jade did an amazing job creating the inspiration and selecting the candles, table numbers and linens. I’m happy we could contribute the floral to bring the whole look together.
