A Foxglove Farm Love Story | Kelly & Wes
Navy blue, pink blooms, gold accents and a whole lot of dancing. Kelly and Wes tied the knot at the beautiful Foxglove Farm in Suttons Bay last June, and it was exactly the kind of day they wanted.
The ceremony took place outdoors in a grassy field overlooking Grand Traverse bay. As the bridal party walked down the aisle, violinist Diana Ladio played endearing melodies that added so much warmth and fun to the celebration. A delicate archway draped with greenery and florals from Fields of Flowers North greeted Kelly and Wes as they began their vows. With a fun touch, Kelly’s mom had collected vintage hankies to put out at the ceremony, each a different design. As the union concluded, Kelly and Wes took magical photos captured by Yana Benjamin, where they were eventually whisked away on a golf cart decorated in white florals.
As the couple spent time in photos, guests attended cocktail hour in Foxglove’s cozy courtyard area. Hors d’oeuvres by Catering with Kelly were layered on charcuterie boards as string lights above created such a warm atmosphere. The outdoor reception space held circular tables adorned with decor from Special Occasions and TC Tented Events. The decor featured white linens, gold candlesticks, vases and napkins of various pinks, more florals from Fields of Flowers North and real candles for a touch of whimsy.
Happy Snappy Events (photobooth) and Lucas Paul Band entertained for the night, providing a groovy transition to the dance floor and dessert. Kelly and Wes had Moomers ice cream as their treat, having a little cart freezer full of goodies for guests. Kelly did a special choreographed dance with her niece to kick off the dance floor which was so cute and fun. Guests danced all through the night, wrapping up the celebration with spirits on high.
We had such a blast working with Kelly and Wes getting to make their dream wedding day come to life.
