Goals for December 2017

December, the last month of 2017 – what in the world?! Thinking about how the year is almost over makes me a little emotional. 2017 was a BIG year not only for Stellaluna Events but for my life – but that is for another post (stay tuned!). Today I am sharing how I did with my November 2017 goals and sharing my December 2017 goals with you. Below is the recap of November:

  • Clean out our house and throw away, sell or donate everything that isn’t our favorites (I’m always a big fan of doing this but have been inspired by Emily Ley‘s new book A Simplified Life.) Check! I did a light first round cleaning and most likely could use another intense cleaning but we mainly sold/ donated old DVDs (like 100 of them), decor, clothes, tupperware, shoes and craft supplies. Less is more.
  • Start wedding planning with Eric! (we have taking some time to enjoy being engaged before diving into planning) Check! We started by finding a venue we love and are now working on booking it!
  • Have a weekly fire in our fire place. Check! We have probably had 2-3 fires a week in our fire place.
  • FINALLY finish Make It Happen! No, I seriously wasn’t joking when I said I take a long time to finish books. Reading is not my favorite thing so I have a hard time remembering to do it. Maybe next month?
  • Start reading Girl Boss. Nope.
  • Plan and make actionable steps towards the next big thing in Stellaluna Events. I can’t tell you what that is yet but you will know soon enough! Yes!
  • Try a new vegetarian recipe to make at home. Yes!
  • Find a workout routine that works for me. Yes, just in the nick of time – I signed up for a gym membership and am starting to go with Eric. He is very disciplined when it comes to working out and encourages me to do the same. My goal is to go at least 4 times a week to start.
  • Celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends. Yes, I spent Thanksgiving with my family and then drove to Tennessee to celebrate with my sister, brother in law and their friends.
  • Volunteer my time or do a give back project. No, I’m really bummed I didn’t make this happen.

I think what I loved the most about November is it brought a lot of much needed rest as I was coming off a crazy fall and going into a packed December. So here we go with my goals for December 2017:

  • Decorate the house for Christmas – I STILL haven’t done this.
  • Make the next actionable step towards doing the next big thing in Stellaluna Events.
  • Enjoy Christmas with friends and family.
  • Attend or host a NYE party – I always want to do something big and fun but feel like it is an after thought to Christmas.
  • Make real homemade hot chocolate.
  • Create a 2018 bucket list.
  • FINALLY finish Make It Happen!…but for real this time.
  • Work out 4 times a week, every week. This is two fold – I also want to start working out in the early mornings to avoid the after-work crowd, especially after starting early January.
  • Have a pizza and Christmas movie night.
  • Create an awesome new year’s resolution.

I can’t wait to dig into my 10 December goals – comment below and share one of your goals for December!
