Vows by the Water | Madison & Michael at Charlevoix Yacht Club
From the refreshing Lake Charlevoix breeze to the lapping of calm waves, Madison and Michael’s summer wedding at the Charlevoix Yacht Club was a day to remember.
The moment they stepped into the venue, it felt like home. Sweet up north charm, lakefront views and exactly the relaxed, airy vibes they had been dreaming of. Nestled on Lake Charlevoix, the yacht club offered the ultimate summer romance, complete with dreamy sailboats and sparkling water as a backdrop.
Though the August sun made its presence known, the wedding party and guests embraced the warmth, laughing and celebrating the couple’s joyful day under clear blue skies. The first look felt straight out of a fairytale as Madison and Michael exchanged private vows overlooking the water before the ceremony. The wedding party dazzled in elegant navy blue dresses and classic black tuxedos, complimenting the many shades of blue in the decor.
Positioned along the lakeside, the ceremony welcomed guests to traditional seated rows, many holding folding fans to stay cool in the summer sun, as they witnessed the couple’s matrimony. Florals crafted by Sweetwater Floral displayed a variety of wildflower styles, adding a colorful and inviting atmosphere throughout the ceremony and reception. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed signature cocktails curated by the bride and groom, paired with savory hors d’oeuvres on the venue’s lakeview porch.
Decorated with pale blues, creams and bridal white, the event space housed polished white napkins accompanied by carefully crafted menus featuring the night’s eats from Grey Gables Restaurant & Catering. Wispy florals decorated the tables and fine desserts from Ruthann’s Gourmet Bakery & Coffeehouse greeted the guests’ sweet tooths.
The reception began with Madison and Michael’s grand entrance, followed by heartfelt toasts from family and friends. The couple saved their first dance for last, sharing an intimate moment before 2Bay DJ’s got everyone joining in on the dance floor. As the evening unfolded, guests enjoyed outdoor games, lingering conversations and hours of celebrating by the water.
