Southwest Michigan Wedding | Allie & George

If you’re seeking a Southwest Michigan wedding then consider Journeyman Distillery located in Three Oaks, Michigan. Allie and George’s wedding is a perfect example of what not only Journeyman’s has to offer, but what this area in Michigan can provide for your wedding day.

Allie and George married on a beautiful September day with it starting out by the lakeshore of Lake Michigan, this gave them a few really incredible photo opportunities. The ceremony and reception took place in Warren Hall of Journeyman Distillery, which is a unique and versatile space that gives Team Stellaluna, and couples, plenty of opportunities to make it what you want.

Allie and George were two of the kindest and most down to earth people to work with. The excitement that we felt every time we spoke with them leading up to their wedding, and the day of, made everything that much better. As for their wedding, it was: beautiful, romantic, and sophisticated! They were surrounded by all their family and friends, you could feel how much love and admiration was in the room. On top of that their bridal party was so much fun and so supportive throughout the day.

Journeyman really speaks for itself visually, so their colors and decor, shades of blushes and blues, was pretty simple but added the perfect touch to the venue. We were even more excited about this wedding because one of our lead coordinators, Scout, who was also Allie & George’s coordinator – was able to create a few hand-lettered signature pieces for the day. Scout made their welcome sign, ceremony sign, and signature drink sign. She had so much fun creating these special pieces for them and seeing the pieces throughout the day.

Journeyman Distillery signed barrel at Southwest Michigan wedding venue

The team here at Journeyman Distillery is great to work with and is always on top of what has to be done to prepare for the wedding day. One of our favorite things about this venue is that the traveling barrel program (image above). Journeyman sets out a barrel for guests to sign throughout the day as a guest book. Journeyman actually keeps the barrel ages a spirit of your choice, and on the day of the couples anniversary they can pick it up. How neat is that?! Just another reason why Journeyman Distillery is a great choice for a Southwest Michigan wedding.

Bride Laughing at her Southwest Michigan weddingALLIE’S WORDS ABOUT TEAM STELLALUNA:

“Confident, calm, and cared for: these are the words I would use to describe how Scout from Stellaluna Events made me feel – not just on my wedding day, but for the 6 months leading up to it, too! Although I hired Scout as “simply” a day-of coordinator, she took care of us beautifully starting 6 months before the wedding – having regular calls with me, responding to my “brain dump” emails, handling all vendor communications, and on the day of the actual wedding she was a godsend (even hand-lettering extra place cards because my vendor forgot to print them)! Scout kept me in the loop for all the important things that I would want to know about, but handled the minutiae effortlessly – never letting me see a hiccup during the wedding. She also earned the respect of my entire bridal party and family by keeping everyone on schedule in a truly caring way. And the fact that she set up and took everything down, then hand delivered it to our rental home, was white glove service at its finest!! I would never choose another coordinator – Team Stellaluna is best of the best. Thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams, Scout!!!”

Thank you Allie and George for having us be a part of such an incredible day. We enjoyed being there through it all and loved the excitement you two brought to this big day, as well as your family and friends. We hope you have many years of love and happiness!
